Submitting Technology Transfer Stories

Narrative Stories and Graphs

The primary audience for this report is the Board of Regents and the General Assembly. We also distribute the report quite widely both on and off campus to various individuals and groups. A predominant theme is the positive message regarding the extent and impact of our technology transfer and economic development activities in the State of Iowa.

"Stories" are needed. Please emphasize cases where actions have been completed during the past two fiscal years. Early-stage projects should be saved (as success stories) for next time. Please keep write-ups short and provide brief titles for each, using words that would catch the reader's eye. This year we will be including names of faculty/staff members in the stories, but we will continue to be careful about publishing names of companies when there may be confidentiality concerns.  Each unit is being limited to 3-5 stories. For each story, please submit it using the template linked below. Please note that there is a character limit of 100-150 words and that you should make sure that your entire story is there before submitting it.

An emphasis this year is on quantitative information. Please provide statistics and graphs by email to industry@iastate.edu where appropriate and include comparisons across years--show 10-year comparisons whenever possible. Specifically, include items that address the "quantification of the extent of the impact your program has had on technology transfer and economic development in the State of Iowa". Workforce development activities should be included.
